Over the past four years the Conservative led County Council have filled 78,000 potholes, surface dressed 3,976 miles of road and salted 232,000 miles during the winter periods. In addition there has been significant investment into roads in Yeovil, Taunton and Bridgwater.
Following the devastating floods of 2014 Somerset Conservatives created and established the Somerset Rivers Authority. The partnership addresses the difficult flooding challenges, which face the County and all its residents.
Small businesses and rural enterprises are of huge importance in maintaining the vitality of the Somerset economy. Space for new businesses to establish themselves and grow, has been established by the Conservatives in Exmoor, Minehead and Highbridge and Bridgwater.
