Ken met with Barry Hughes, the Chief Crown Prosecutor for Avon and Somerset, to understand the role of the CPS and how the new position of Police and Crime Commissioner will work with them.
Ken said, “It was really interesting to learn about the work of the CPS. The new PCCs will not only be responsible for Policing in their force area but will work to make the criminal justice system more responsive, accountable and transparent. This new system will lead to speedier court cases, improve they public’s understanding and engage with the communities we serve.”
