The coffee house chain Caffé Nero says it will stop using milk from local dairies in the Somerset badger cull area because of pressure from the “Stop the Cull” group.
West Somerset MP Ian Liddell-Grainger condemned the decision and blamed the protestors:
“This is a completely stupid act of intimidation. There is absolutely no danger whatsoever in Somerset milk for Caffé Nero customers. The pressure group can deny they used threats until the cows come home, but you don’t get big companies changing big milk contracts without any reason. It is wrong headed and wicked action by these people.”
