County Councillor Linda Vijeh once again joined Somerset in Care Council for their monthly meeting and to assist with helping members learn new cooking skills. On this occasion she proudly showed off her new SiCC apron.
"Thanks to Catherine Newberry, the group is really beginning to have an identity. Helping youngsters to get ready for leaving care, and giving them the confidence to be able to prepare their own meals is really important" explains Linda.
"This time we made three different stir fries, all made from scratch, using only fresh ingredients, with no shortcuts. For pud we tried out two beard and butter pudding recipes - no a scrap of anything left!
"I'm really looking forward to joining them all on their residential trip at the beginning of April."
