Wincanton and Bruton

Being elected to Somerset Council has been an enjoyable rollercoaster especially due to what’s been happening in Westminster, but we have a good team of conservative councillors down here at the new Somerset Council who are getting on with the job. In Wincanton and Bruton, both myself and Lucy Trimnell have had a good and steady 6 months as Conservative councillors and I have had great support from Lucy and we help each other along the way.
I have been given the role of sitting on the environment scrutiny committee, which is an interesting subject as we all know that the climate and the environment are very important. I have also been appointed to the Devon and Somerset Fire Authority and have seen the fantastic work that the fire service does and it’s a great privilege to be able to sit on the authority.
