Rebecca joined a panel of sixth form students from Taunton School today for a lively early morning Question Time session chaired by Headmaster, Dr John Newton and attended by hundreds of sixth form students who eagerly put their questions to the panel.
Subjects ranged from the unfolding situation in the Ukraine, to Uganda’s decision to criminalise homosexuality, flooding on the Somerset Levels and the panel’s views on the Oscars.
‘I was delighted to take part in this event’ says Rebecca, Prospective Conservative MP for Taunton Deane, ‘it shows that our young people are really engaging with the world around them and coming up with their own opinions and views which is crucial. We need an informed youth who after all will be going out into this world themselves very soon.’
