The local business community turned out in force for the opening of new restaurant, Celandines, in Ilminster, this week.
Chef and owner Lee Proudman, was joined by his mum and dad, in addition to his brother Ian, who ably managed this group of very demanding customers.
County Councillor Linda Vijeh, herself a professional chef, was joined by fellow Councillor, Marcus Fysh, the newly appointed Conservative Prospective MP for Ilminster, along with Rotary Club of Ilminster President, Terry Bate, and other local people.
The verdict was that Celandines had a acquitted itself well on its first night, and will make a valuable addition to the local eating out scene, with an interesting menu based on British classics, well priced, and with excellent presentation.
