Bridgwater College "showing others the way" says local MP
Senior staff members from Bridgwater College were welcomed by their Conservative MP Ian Liddell-Grainger when they attended the annual Association of Colleges reception at the House of Commons.
Director of business development Matthew Tudor and Jenny Ashworth, director of academic partnerships and marketing, were congratulated by Mr Liddell-Grainger for the college’s achievements over the last year, now featured in the Association’s annual publication.
The college has formed successful partnerships with Mulberry and Laing O’Rourke and its work has brought it special recognition as one of the educational establishments now closely involved with some of the country’s most respected companies.
Mr Liddell-Grainger said the latest highlighting of Bridgwater College’s achievements merely reinforced the quality and dedication of its staff and the huge strides it was making in delivering first-class technical and vocational training.
“All too often it’s the large establishments in major cities that are held up as examples to the rest of the country,” he said.
“It’s therefore particularly gratifying when a college based in the heart of Somerset is cited as a success story for others to emulate.”
